Year of Faith 2012 -2013 - Pope has announced

Last Sunday morning Pope Benedict XVI has announced  the beginning  of  a special Year of Faith. The year of faith begins on the 11th October 2012, which also marks the 50th Anniversary of the Second Vatican Council completion , the year of faith will end  on 24th November 2013,  on the Feast of Christ the King. The vast congregation at the morning Mass largely consisted of those involved in the New Evangelization, who were in Rome for a summit organized by the recently formed Pontifical Council for Promotion of the New Evangelization. The New Evangelization aims to revivify Catholicism in traditionally Christian countries which have been particularly affected by secularization in recent decades.
